Turning On Your Computer When you start your computer for the first time, your computer may detect new equipment and display a dialog box that prompts you to restart your computer. Respond to this prompt immediately. If your computer has Microsoft® Windows® XP Media Center Edition installed, set up the cables and connections required to use these features before you turn on the computer. See the section, Setting Up Media Center. 1. Press the power button on the computer to turn on the power. 2. Press the power button on the display to turn on the power. 3.
