Manual Recording 1 2 3 4 Eject button Connect a video camera or VCR. If the connected device has an S VIDEO jack, use an S video cable. Turn on the drive and insert a disc. 5 6 Start playback on the video device, and press [REC] to start recording. Press [STOP] to stop recording, and stop playback on the video device. Recording is completed. Eject the disc. Press [INPUT SELECT] to display "VIDEO." Set the video device to the playback pause mode. QUICK REFERENCE SYNC ON OFF Start Recording Press "REC" to standby for incoming signal c start the source (VCR etc.) When signal is detected recording starts. Press "REC" c start the source (VCR etc.) Stop Recording Press "STOP" If DVD+R is used, DVDirect will ask "Finalize?" when ejecting S to select [Yes] c F Function Operation Note Finalize disc Erase All Auto Play Auto Chaptering Press F until "Finalize?" c S to select [Yes] Finalize disc makes it compatible with DVD players. c F c S to select [Yes] c F Finalized disc cannot be incrementally written. Press F until "Erase All?" c S to select [Yes] Erase all contents of a disc. This function only works with c F c S to select [Yes] c F DVD+RW. Press F until "Auto Play?" c S to select [Yes] Resulting disc starts the playback upon insertion to a DVD c F player.
