Migration from Tape-based Archive to File-based Archive*1 Transcription Using Proxy Data via the Network By importing pre-existing MS Excel and database files into the XDCAM Archive system, users can continue to search and add metadata before content is actually ingested. Users can link the imported data with video content by using SDI*2 input. *1: This treatment is optional and requires additional fee. *2: Other ingest methods such as file import to handle file-based media are planned to be supported in the first half of 2012. Metadata fields are customizable for several data types. For example, a large text field can be created to transcribe content or create a script prior to editing. Decision makers can search the asset and review the script via the XDCAM Archive Web application. 1 The search result for imported content from a 1 2 pre-existing database. 2 Thumbnail/proxy data can be achieved by ingesting video. The XDA-C100PK also supports USB ingest devices along with file import. The XDA-C100 client license* and MSQ-S001 codec board is included. XDA-C200AP Software license key* to enable support for Apple ProRES® video material. XDA-C200AV Software license key* to enable support for Avid DNxHD video material. XDA-C200PA Software license key* to enable support for Panasonic P2™ (DVCPRO™/DVCPRO50™/DVCPRO HD™/AVC-Intra™*1) video material. XDA-CE020 Software license key* to enable network attached storage (NAS) capacity expansion. Each XDA-CE020 activates up to 20TB of additional online storage capacity. *1: The AVC-Intra is planned to be supported in the first half of 2012. * Optional Sony licenses require fees.
