Migration from Tape-based Archive to File-based Archive*1 Transcription Using Proxy Data via the Network By importing pre-existing MS Excel and database files into the XDCAM Archive system, users can continue to search and add metadata before content is actually ingested. Users can link the imported data with video content by using SDI*2 input. *1: This treatment is optional and requires additional fee. *2: Other ingest methods such as file import to handle file-based media are planned to be supported in the first half of 2012. Metadata fields are customizable for several data types. For example, a large text field can be created to transcribe content or create a script prior to editing.
