Maintenance Chart The following maintenance operations apply to normal operating conditions. If working conditions are difficult (very dusty work area, etc.) or your daily working time is longer than normal, shorten the specified intervals accordingly. Complete machine Visual inspection (condition, leaks) Clean X X X Control handle Check operation X X Air filter Pickup body in fuel tank Clean Replace Have checked by servicing dealer 1) Have replaced by servicing dealer 1) Fuel tank Clean Carburetor Check idle speed Readjust idle X X Spark plug Readjust electrode gap Replace after 100 hours of operation Inspect X Cooling inlets Clean Valve clearance Check and adjust if necessary after first 139 hours of operation 1) Combustion chamber Decarbonize after first 139 hours of operation, then after every 150 hours of operation Inspect X Spark arresting screen in muffler* Replace All accessible screws and nuts (not adjusting screws) Retighten * see "Guide to Using this Manual" 1) STIHL recommends that this work be done by a a STIHL servicing dealer before starting work after finishing work or daily after each refueling stop weekly monthly yearly if problem if damaged if required English / USA X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X X FS 130, FS 130 R 49
