To disable the multicast control function, please use no storm-control multicast command. Multicast control function allows the switch to filter multicast in the network. If the transmission rate of the multicast packets exceeds the set bandwidth, the packets will be automatically discarded to avoid network broadcast storm. Syntax storm-control multicast [rate rate] no storm-control multicast Parameter rate -- Select the bandwidth for receiving multicast packets on the port. The packet traffic exceeding the bandwidth will be discarded. By default, the value is "128K". storm-control multicast
Description
The
storm-control multicast
command is used to enable the multicast control
function. To disable the multicast control function, please use
no storm-control
multicast
command. Multicast control function allows the switch to filter
multicast in the network. If the transmission rate of the multicast packets
exceeds the set bandwidth, the packets will be automatically discarded to avoid
network broadcast storm.
