TRENDnet User's Guide Bottom View Application Diagram TEW-817DTR Ethernet Port Off / Mode Switch  Ethernet Port: Connect Ethernet cables (also called network cables) from your router LAN ports to your wired network devices. When Router mode is selected the port becomes WAN port that allows you to connect to the Internet. When AP+WISP mode is selected the port becomes a LAN port that allows you to connect wired clients of to connect to an existing network.  Mode Switch: Router mode allows you to connect the device to an existing network. AP + WISP mode sets the device into Access Point mode where you can configure the device into an access point, WISP client or Repeater. Select Off to turn off the device. Ethernet Port:
