Note: To raise the mower, move the front cutting height levers rearward and the rear cutting height levers forward. Starting the Engine 1. If the ignition switch on your mower (Figure 11) is a toggle switch (with both an "I" and a "Stop"), push the switch to the ("I") position. Otherwise, go to step 2. Using the Self-propel Drive To operate the self-propel drive, simply walk with your hands on the upper handle and your elbows at your sides, and the mower will automatically keep pace with you (Figure 13). 8

Starting the Engine

If the ignition switch on your mower (Figure 11) is a
toggle switch (with both an “I” and a “Stop”), push
the switch to the (“I”) position. Otherwise, go to
step 2.
