Chapter 8: DVD Playback Playing frame by frame DVD VCD Press A during still playback. Each time you press A, the picture advances one frame. To resume normal playback: Press S. Note: The sound is muted during frame by frame playback. Playing in slow motion DVD VCD Press v or V during playback. Each time you press the button, the slow-motion speed changes (DVD/VCD: 1/32-1/2). To resume normal playback: Press S. Note: • The sound is muted during slow-motion playback. • V is not available for the VCD disc. Locating a chapter or track DVD VCD CD Press F or G repeatedly to select the chapter or track you want. Playback starts from beginning of the selected chapter or track. Changing angles DVD You can change the viewing angle of the scene during playback if the disc is recorded with multi-angle facility. 1 Press a during playback. The current angle will appear. 2 Press a repeatedly until the desired angle is selected. Note: Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to change the angles even if multi-angles are recorded on the DVD. Title selection DVD Two or more titles are recorded on some discs. If the title menu is recorded on the disc, you can select the desired title. 1 Press N during playback. Title menu appears on the screen. 2 Press B b C c to select the desired title. 3 Press T or S. The playback of the selected title will start. Note: • Depending on the DVD, you may not be able to select the title. • Depending on the DVD, a "title menu" may simply be called a "menu" or "title" in the instructions supplied with the disc. • Depending on the DVD, the title menu may be displayed automatically when the disc is loaded. • Depending on the DVD, a chapter menu may be displayed after you select a title. Note: A "Prohibition" symbol may appear at the upper right of the screen. This symbol means either the feature you tried is not available on the disc, or the TV cannot access the feature at this time. This does not indicate a problem with the TV. 64
