Selecting the picture size Repeatedly press PIC SIZE to select either Natural, Theater Wide 1, Theater Wide 2, Theater Wide 3, or Full picture size, as described below. Fixed (non-moving) images (such as still PIP/POP windows or black/gray bars in wide-screen picture or PIP/POP formats) can become permanently engrained in the picture tube. This type of damage is NOT COVERED BY YOUR WARRANTY because it is the result of misuse. See item 32 on page 4. Receiving a 480i/480p signal source Natural The Natural picture size displays a conventional picture signal in the conventional 4:3 aspect ratio, with bars at the left and right. Note: If you select a Theater Wide picture size for a conventional picture signal (4:3 aspect ratio), parts of the picture at the top and bottom of the screen may be hidden. Setting up your TV Using the TV's Features Appendix Conventional (4:3) picture on a conventional (4:3) TV screen Conventional (4:3) picture in Natural size on your wide-screen (16:9) TV Full The Full picture size displays the picture signal in the wide-screen 16:9 aspect ratio. Note: If you select Full picture size for a conventional 4:3 picture, the picture will be stretched horizontally to fill the screen. Wide-screen (16:9) picture on a conventional (4:3) TV screen (squeezed horizontally) Wide-screen (16:9) picture in Full size on your wide-screen (16:9) TV 29 Index
