Function Settings ˙Rating Parental control DVD-V VCD CD DVD video discs equipped with the parental lock function are rated according to their content. The contents allowed by a parental lock level and the way a DVD video disc can be controlled may vary from disc to disc. For example, if the disc allowed you could edit out violent scenes unsuitable for children and replace them with more suitable scenes, or lock out playback of the disc altogether. DVD video discs may or may not respond to the parental lock settings. This is not a defect in the player. Make sure this function works with your DVD video discs. ˙To set the parental level 1 Press / / / to select "Parental control" and then press ENTER. The password setting screen appears. 2 Press the number buttons to create a personal 5-digit security code then press ENTER. The password sets. 3 Press / to select "Parental control" and enter the password you set then press ENTER. 4 Press ENTER while selecting "Parental control". 5 Press / to select the parental level to set and then press ENTER. 8 : Adult 7 : NC-17 6 : R 5 : PG-R 4 : PG-13 3 : PG 2 : G 1 : Kid Safe ˙To change the parental lock level 1 Press / to select "Set password". 2 Press the number buttons to enter the 5-digit security code then press ENTER. To set the parental level
