The adapter, lighter socket and power port may become heated after prolonged use. i) ALWAYS remove the adapter from the cigarette lighter socket or power port when not in use. j) Do not leave the adapter connected when you do not use the player. Even though the player is off, a current will flow through the adapter from the car battery to the battery of the player, resulting in unexpected troubles with both the player and car battery, including smoke, fire or electric shock.
