Getting Started 46 Using the computer for the first time The battery light: Glows amber while the battery is being charged. Glows green when the battery is fully charged. Is unlit when the computer is not connected to an external power source. The hard disk drive light flashes to indicate that the hard disk drive is currently in use. CAUTION: Never turn off the computer while any of the drives are in use. Using the AccuPoint II pointing device The round button in the middle of the keyboard is the AccuPoint II pointing device. It enables you to move the cursor and to select items on the screen. (If you would rather use a mouse or trackball, you can connect one to the computer's USB port or PS/2 port. See Connecting a mouse on page 39 for more information.)
