Introduction Welcome to the world of powerful, portable multimedia computing. With your Toshiba notebook computer, your work can accompany you wherever you go. TE2000 Series computers provide considerable computing power, enabling you to perform the most demanding computing tasks from any location. You will find your operating system, Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional or Windows® 98SE (see Appendix A), already installed on your computer. Your operating system offers exciting features and easy Internet access. NOTE: If your operating system is Windows® XP Professional, Toshiba suggests, when in the Control Panel, that you switch to Classic View to see and use the functions and utilities available with the Toshiba program icons. 23
