Fn-esse displays the Assignment Type dialog box. ❖ To change the key assignment, click Direct... or Popup... and continue as if you were creating a new assignment. ❖ To remove the key assignment, click Clear. TOSHIBA HW Setup TOSHIBA HW Setup is a hardware configuration management tool available through Windows. It lets you view general system settings and specify the display, boot priority, keyboard, USB, LAN, CPU, device configuration and parallel/printer options for your computer. To set the IRQ, I/O Address, and DMA channel for communication ports, use the Windows Device Manager. NOTE If the supervisor password is set and you log onto the computer with the user password, you may not be able to access the TOSHIBA HW Setup program. Accessing TOSHIBA HW Setup To access TOSHIBA HW Setup, press the TOSHIBA Assist button above the left side of the keyboard. The TOSHIBA Assist screen appears. Click Optimize and double-click on the HW Setup icon to open the HW Setup dialog box.
