Recording the Outgoing Message Your personal outgoing message or greeting can be from 2 to 30 seconds long. If you don't record a greeting, the system uses the pre-recorded greeting: Hello, no one is available to take your call. Please leave a message after the tone. To... Record a personal greeting Switch between greetings Delete your greeting Follow these steps from the base or a cordless handset: 1. Open the menu with the phone in standby. Select Ans. Setup, then select Record Greeting. 2. Press MENU/SELECT to start recording. Wait until the system says "Record greeting" before speaking. 3. Press Menu/Select to stop recording. The system plays back your new greeting. 4. To keep the greeting, press PLAY/STOP on the base or press End on the handset. To re-record it, press Menu/select. The last greeting recorded will be the one replayed. 1. Open the menu with the phone in standby. Select Ans. Setup, then Greeting Options. 2. The system plays back the current greeting. Press Menu/ select to switch greetings. Switch to your personal greeting; press delete on the base or Intercom/clear on the handset while the greeting is playing. Accessing the Answering System With the phone in standby, you can access the system Press MESSAGE/MUTE to start remote operation mode. from the base or remotely from any handset: ♦♦Only 1 station can access the system at a time. ♦♦If you do nothing for 30 seconds, the phone returns to standby. Use PHONEBOOK to 5:Stop Use CID to go to go back to the the next option: previous option: [ / /select] 4:Delete 1:Repeat 3:Skip 2:Play Press MENU/SELECT to choose the current option OR END to exit remote operation mode. ♦♦During remote access, the system beeps so you know it's waiting for the next command. ♦♦You can press the number key shown next to each command instead of scrolling through the screens.
