Answering an Intercom Page When the intercom page tone sounds, the display shows the ID of the station that is paging. Press [ /flash] or [xfer/intercom]. If AutoTalk is on, the handset automatically answers the page when you remove the handset from the cradle. To hang up an intercom page from the handset, press [ ]. Room/Baby Monitor This feature allows you to monitor sounds in another room. Place a handset in the room you wish to monitor; it will function as a microphone. Another station can be set to function as a remote speaker, allowing you to monitor sounds in the room. 1. Press [menu/clear] and enter the ROOM MONITOR menu. TO ROOM MONITOR appears. . Select the station you want to monitor by. using [ ] or [ ]. 3. Press . ROOM MONITOR appears, and you hear sounds in the room where the station is installed. 4. To turn off the Room Monitor, press [ ] or return. the handset to the cradle. Notes: • This feature only works when both handsets are within. the range of the base. • If the party is out of range, UNAVAILABLE appears in the display,. and the operation is canceled. • While a pair of handsets is in Room/Baby Monitoring, they cannot be used to make or receive calls.
