Charging the Battery Pack Your marine radio is powered by a specially designed Ni-MH battery pack. • Before operating the MHS350, charge the Ni-MH battery pack for 4 hours without interruption with the Adapter. 1 Plug one end of the AC adapter into the wall outlet and the other end into the Adapter jack on the side of the Charging Cradle. 2 Make sure your radio is OFF, and place the radio in the front of the Charging Cradle. You can also charge another battery at the same time. Place it in the back of the Charging Cradle. 3 Charge the battery for about 4 hours. • The charger won't overcharge the battery pack. When the LED on the Charging Cradle turn off, charging is completed. • The radio will not charge the battery while on and receiving incoming voice traffic, and while transmitting. • When you mount the Charging Cradle on your boat, use the DC adapter instead. • The jack is for charging only. If the battery level is low, the radio needs to charge before use. • If the LED on the charging cradle flashes, the battery might be broken. Purchase Uniden BP350 battery (see page 29). 10

Charging the Battery Pack
Your marine radio is powered by a specially designed Ni-MH
battery pack.
Before operating the
MHS350
, charge the Ni-MH battery pack for
4 hours
without interruption
with the Adapter.
Plug one end of the AC adapter into the
wall outlet and the other end into the
Adapter jack on the side of the Charging
Cradle.
Make sure your radio is OFF, and place the
radio in the front of the Charging Cradle. You
can also charge another battery at the same
time. Place it in the back of the Charging
Cradle.
Charge the battery for about 4 hours.
The charger won
t overcharge the battery pack.
When the LED on the Charging Cradle turn off,
