Using Standby Mode Standby Mode saves electrical power during periods when you are not actively using the Media Center. In Standby mode, however, scheduled activities (like recording a TV show) will still occur. You can activate/de-activate Standby Mode in three ways: • From the Remote Control: Press the Standby button. To go back to Normal mode, press and hold the Standby button for a few seconds. • From the Wireless Keyboard: Press the Sleep button (Special Function key on the far left). To go back to Normal mode, press and hold the Sleep button for a few seconds, or press and hold the Esc (Escape) key. • From the Windows Desktop: Click the Start button, then click Standby. To return to Normal mode, use the Remote Control or Keyboard (see above). Turning the Media Center Off • Click Start on the Windows taskbar, then click Turn Off.
