Dishwasher Optimum Performance Tips & Guidelines The Viking dishwasher is designed to provide years of dependable performance. In order to maintain this high level of performance, it is important to make sure the dishwasher is properly cared for and cleaned. Below are a few tips and guidelines to follow to make sure the dishwasher performs at its highest level. Loading: • It is not necessary to rinse normal food soils off the dishes prior to loading; just scrape and load • Adjust tines according to dish size and shape • Avoid overlapping dishes • Load cups, glasses and bowls so that water will drain off • Do not allow items to extend beyond racks, block the spray arms, or block the soap dispenser lid Washing: • Select the correct cycle that best matches the dirtiest items in the dishwasher • Select Hi Temp Wash for maximizing cleaning performance • For hard water or heavily soiled dishes, use maximum amount of detergent • For soft water or lightly soiled dishes, use less detergent Drying: • Add liquid rinse agent to the rinse agent dispenser • The dispenser is factory set at "4"; adjust the setting higher for hard water or lower for soft water Maintenance: • Check and clean filters periodically • For hard water areas, clean/descale the dishwasher as necessary using a dishwasher cleaner or vinegar • To remove odors, use a detergent with chlorine bleach For detailed information on loading, washing, drying and maintenance please see the Viking Use and Care Manual shipped with the dishwasher or online at vikingrange.com
