Installation must conform with local codes or in the absence of codes, the National Fuel Gas Code ANSIZ223.1/NFPA-54 -latest edition. • The installer must leave these instructions with the consumer who should retain for local inspector's use and for future reference. In Canada: Installation must be in accordance with the current CAN/CGA B149.1 & 2 Gas Installation codes and/or local codes. Electrical installation must be in accordance with the current CSA C22.1 Canadian Electrical Codes Part 1 and/or local codes. Commonwealth of Massachusetts: • Installations and repairs must be performed by a qualified or licensed contractor, plumber or gas fitter, qualified or licensed by the state, province or region where this appliance is being installed. • Use only gas shut-off valves approved for use within the state, province or region where this appliance is being installed. • A flexible gas connector, when used, must not exceed 3' (.9 m). California Proposition 65 Burning gas cooking fuel generates some byproducts that are on the list of substances known to cause cancer or reproductive harm. To minimize exposure to these substances, always operate this unit according to the instructions contained in this book and provide good ventilation.
