Messenger Sending instant messages Step 7: To return to the buddy list without ending your chat, press the BUDDIES softkey. To return to an active chat window, press the up or down Navkey or to highlight the desired buddy, and press the CHAT softkey. -OR- To end your chat session and return to the buddy list, press the OPTIONS softkey, and press the up or down NavKey or to choose Close.
