Note: To preserve battery life, the VTECH® Cody Carpenter's Light 'n Learn™ Bench learning toy will automatically power-down after several seconds without input. The unit can be turned on again by hammering any button. ACTIVITIES A. Talking Mode 1. Slide the ON/OFF/MODE SELECTOR SWITCH to the TALKING MODE ( ) position. You will hear "I'm busy beaver, let's hammer!" followed by a hammering sound effect. The lights will flash with the sounds. 2. Hammer the LETTER OR NUMBER PEGS to hear a random sound effect followed by the identification of the number or letter of the peg that was hammered. The corresponding light will flash with the sound. 3. Hammer the SHAPE PEGS to hear a random sound effect followed by the identification of the colour and shape of the peg that was hammered. The corresponding light will flash with the sound. 6
