3. When Smarty detects the drill, the LCD will show the animation of the drill and you will hear "You've got your drill", "Let's get revved up!", a drill sound effect and a melody. At this time, the drill games are activated. 4. Smarty will ask the player to use the drill and appropriate drill bit to tighten the screws on Smarty. Use the drill or your screwdriver to help Smarty tighten up his ears or nose . "You've get your drill !" "Will you help me tighten up my ears?" If Smarty does not receive any response from the drill for approximately one minute, Smarty will automatically shut off the connection with drill. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, The VTech® Smarty's Toolbox™ will automatically turn off after approximately one minute without input. The tape measure can be turned on again by pressing the ON/OFF BUTTON. The drill can be turned on again by pressing the HANDLE, attaching a DRILL BIT, or pushing the DIRECTION SWITCH. 12
