IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following: 1. Read all instructions. 2. Do not touch hot surfaces. Use handles or knobs. 3. To protect against electrical shock, do not place any part of the toaster in water or other liquids. See instructions for cleaning. 4. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. 5. Always unplug from outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before cleaning, handling, putting on or taking off parts. 6. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance has malfunctioned or has been dropped or damaged in any way, or if it is not operating properly. Return the toaster to the nearest Waring Repair Center for examination, repair or mechanical or electrical adjustment. 7. The use of accessory attachments not recommended by Waring Pro may cause injury. 8. Do not use outdoors. 9. Do not let cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop or touch hot surfaces. 10. Do not place toaster on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven. 11. Do not use this toaster for other than intended use. 12. Oversize foods, metal foil packages or utensils must not be inserted in the toaster, as they may involve a risk of fire or electric shock. 2
