SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS Spreader Basket Cover Liquid Level Indicator Stem BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME Please check all packaging material carefully before discarding. Many accessory parts are contained within the packaging material. Wash the percolator thoroughly before using. Refer to the "Cleaning your 12 Cup Electric Percolator" section in this manual. USING YOUR 12 CUP ELECTRIC PERCOLATOR 1. To make coffee, remove cover, spreader, basket and stem. Fill percolator to desired cup level with cold fresh water. 2. Wet basket to keep coffee grounds from sifting through. Place basket on stem. Hold top of stem and place stem and basket into heating unit well. IF THE STEM IS NOT SEATED PROPERLY IN THE HEATING WELL, THE PERCOLATOR WILL NOT PERK. 3. Add desired amount of regular or percolator grind coffee to basket (refer to chart), spreading evenly. Place spreader onto basket. Note: A finely ground coffee may cause the coffee basket to overflow. 4. Place cover onto the percolator until it snaps close. Caution: Scalding may occur if the cover is removed during the brewing cycle. 5. Plug the cord into the percolator then plug the cord into electrical outlet. The unit will automatically turn on. 3
