you may need to change the power adapter, as illustrated below.
Connection Steps
To connect the My Book 3.0 drive, follow the steps below:
1.
Connect the power cord to the My Book 3.0 drive.
2.
Connect the power adapter to an electrical outlet.
3.
Connect the USB 3.0 Micro-B connector to the My Book 3.0 drive.
Important:
