18 Appendix WD TV Media Player User Manual Multiformat Content Playback Multiformat is a file type that groups other files of the same digital content but may be encoded in different digital formats. For example, a single video file may actually include a few components such as video, audio, and photo grouped together. The media player is capable of playing several different types of multiformat files. For a detailed list of supported formats, refer to "Supported Formats" on page 219.
