This will help you through the installation process. Before you run the Adobe installer, you should know whether you are installing a network or local printer; if it is a network printer, you need to know the path or queue name of the printer. 2. In the Windows 95 Explorer, select the User Software CD, select the ENGLISH\PRNTDRV\WIN_95 folder, and double-click the SETUP.EXE icon. SETUP.EXE is the filename for the Adobe Installer. 3. Continue the installation procedure and follow the on-screen instructions. 4. When installation is complete, click Add Another or Exit. Completing the Windows 95 parallel port connection Preparing a parallel port connection for Windows 95 requires specific BIOS settings on your computer, and specific port and printer settings for Windows 95. In addition, a change to the DocuColor Setup may be required if you choose to spool files to the DocuColor rather than print directly. TO PREPARE THE DOCUCOLOR AND YOUR COMPUTER FOR PARALLEL PORT PRINTING: 1. Connect the DocuColor to the parallel port on your computer. For instructions, see the Administrator Guide. 2. To spool files to the DocuColor, set the DocuColor Setup option for Port Timeout in Seconds to 10 seconds. The default setting for this option is 5 seconds, which is not adequate for spooling. Setting this option to 10 seconds ensures that spooling is not interrupted due to timeout. The Port Timeout in Seconds option is accessed from the Network Setup section of Setup. You can change this Setup option from the Control Panel or from the Command WorkStation. An Administrator password may be required to access Setup. For instructions, see the Administrator Guide.
