CHAPTER 3: Voices Selecting Voices The CVP-94/92 features a wealth of rich, authentic voices, including piano, strings and brass instruments. It also features a Keyboard Percussion function that lets you play the realistic drum and percussion sounds directly from the keyboard. Selecting a Voice from the VOICE SELECT Display ZSelect the voice group Select the desired voice group by pressing the appropriate VOICE button. ➔ The pop-up display of the VOICE SELECT display appears. TONE/ SYNTH ORGAN DUAL REVERB STRINGS/ SAX / CHOIR BRASS FLUTE BASS DRUMS XG SPLIT EFFECT Pop-up Display • The pop-up display returns to the previous display after a few seconds. You can keep the pop-up display from changing by using the Display Hold function (page 14). Backing Up the Selected Voice • The last selected voice in each group can be retained in memory, even after turning off the power, when the Backup function (page 132) is set to ON. • When the power is turned ON, the GRAND PIANO voice is selected automatically. However, if the Backup function (page 132) is set to ON, the last selected voice will automatically be selected. 23
