Chapter 6: Using the Timer You can program the DRX-730's timer to automatically start and stop playback at set times. You could, for example, use the DRX-730 like an alarm clock to wake up to your favorite radio station or music disc. To use the timer, you must: 1. Set the input source. 2. Set the on time. 3. Set the off time. 4. Turn on the timer. These settings are explained below. Notes: • The DRX-730's clock must be set in order to program the timer (see page 21). • Timer programming can be cancelled at any time by pressing TIMER. 2 Use Left/Right ( / ) to select the input source. DVD Input sources are selected in the following order: DVD USB FM AM PRESET AUX PORTABLE DOCK You can also use DVD/USB, AUX/PORTABLE, DOCK, TUNER, and BAND on the remote control, or the INPUT control on the DRX-730 to select the input source. If you selected TUNER, use Up/Down ( / ) to select a preset. A1 FM 87.5 MHz Setting the input source You can specify the input source that's to be used when the timer turns on the DRX-730. You can program the DRX-730’s timer to

To use the timer, you must:
1. Set the input source.
2. Set the on time.
3. Set the off time.
4. Turn on the timer.
These settings are explained below.
Notes:
The DRX-730’s clock must be set in order to
program the timer (see page 21).

Press TIMER, and then use Up/Down (

) to
select “Timer Input.”
The TIMER indicator flashes.

You can also use DVD/USB, AUX/PORTABLE,
DOCK, TUNER, and BAND on the remote
control, or the INPUT control on the DRX-730 to
select the input source.
If you selected TUNER, use Up/Down (

select a preset.

Press ENTER.
The input source is set and the ON Time setting
appears on the display (see page 41).
Note:
