English GENERAL OPERATION 2-1. PLAYING A SOURCE 1. Set the MASTER VOLUME control to minimum. Front panel * On the front panel, VCR 1, CD or LD can be selected directly by pressing the corresponding switch. Front panel 2. Turn the power on. Front panel or Remote control 3. Select an input source. (The selected source is shown by the display panel, the monitor screen and illumination of the corresponding indicator over the input selector switches.) Front panel Remote control or 4. Play the source. 5. Increase the setting of the MASTER VOLUME control to your listening level. Front panel Remote control or Adjust the BASS, TREBLE, BALANCE controls, etc., or select a desired sound field program. (See page 29.) NOTE: If a different audio source is selected with the input selector keys on the remote control unit while enjoying a video source, the sound from the newly selected audio source is heard, but the picture from the video source can still be seen. 27
