TROUBLESHOOTING ■ Remote control Problem The remote control does not work nor function properly. ■ iPod Cause Remedy Wrong distance or angle. The remote control functions within a maximum range of 6 m (20 ft) and no more than 30 degrees offaxis from the front panel. Direct sunlight or lighting (from an inverter type of fluorescent lamp, etc.) is striking the remote control sensor of this unit. Reposition this unit. The batteries are weak. Replace all batteries. The remote control code is not correctly set. Set the remote control code correctly using "LIST OF REMOTE CONTROL CODES" at the end of this manual. Try setting another code for the same manufacturer using "LIST OF REMOTE CONTROL CODES" at the end of this manual. The library code of the remote control and the remote control ID of this unit do not match. Match the remote control ID of this unit with the corresponding remote control library code. Even if the remote control code is correctly set, there are some models that do not respond to the remote control. See page 8 - 3 92 92 89, 93 Note In case of a transmission error without a status message appearing in the front panel and in the OSD, check the connection to your iPod (see page 22). Status message Cause Remedy Loading... Connect error Unknown type iPod connected Disconnected Unable to play This unit is in the middle of recognizing the connection with your iPod. This unit is in the middle of acquiring song lists from your iPod. There is a problem with the signal path from your iPod to this unit. Set this unit to the standby mode and reconnect the YAMAHA iPod universal dock to the DOCK terminal of this unit. Try resetting your iPod. The iPod being used is not supported by this unit. Only iPod (Click and Wheel), iPod nano, and iPod mini are supported. Your iPod is properly stationed in a YAMAHA iPod universal dock (such as YDS-10 sold separately) connected to the DOCK terminal of this unit, and the connection between your iPod and this unit is complete. Your iPod was removed from a YAMAHA iPod universal dock (such as YDS-10 sold separately) connected to the DOCK terminal of this unit. Station your iPod back in a YAMAHA iPod universal dock (such as YDS-10 sold separately) connected to the DOCK terminal of this unit. This unit cannot play back the songs currently stored on your iPod. Check that the songs currently stored on your iPod are playable. Store some other playable music files on your iPod.
