CONNECTIONS • Connect the power cords last. • Be sure to disconnect the power cords of all audio and video components from their AC outlets before making connections. Do not turn the power on until all connections are complete. • When making connections between this unit and other components, make sure that all connections are correct and you have connected L (left) to L and R (right) to R. (The signal passes through unaffected.) 1 Turn on the power to this unit. 2 Select the source to be played with the INPUT selector and start playback. Adjust the volume to an appropriate level. 3A When playing a Sound Multiplex source (Sound Multiplex karaoke discs or tapes, etc.) Press the MPX/STEREO button. The MPX indicator lights. Adjust the MPX balance. To decrease the volume of the original vocals, turn toward "MUSIC". Connect microphones and turn them on. 3B When playing a stereo source (General CDs, LDs, or tapes, with vocals.) Set the MPX/STEREO button to STEREO. The MPX indicator goes off. Press the ONE TOUCH KARAOKE button. The indicator lights, and the volume of the original vocals is reduced. (Original vocals may still be heard with some discs.) 4 Adjust the microphone level(s) with the LEVEL control(s) while speaking into the microphone(s). 5 Re-adjust the overall volume with the volume control on your amplifier. 5

Turn on the power to this unit.

Select the source to be played with the INPUT
selector and start playback.
Adjust the volume to an appropriate level.

When playing a Sound Multiplex source
(Sound Multiplex karaoke discs or tapes, etc.)
Press the MPX/STEREO button.
The MPX indicator lights.
Adjust the MPX balance.
To decrease the volume of the original vocals, turn
toward “MUSIC”.

When playing a stereo source
(General CDs,
LDs, or tapes, with vocals.)
Set the MPX/STEREO button to STEREO.
The MPX indicator goes off.
Press the ONE TOUCH KARAOKE button.
The indicator lights, and the volume of the original
vocals is reduced.
(Original vocals may still be heard
with some discs.)

Adjust the microphone level(s) with the LEVEL
control(s) while speaking into the microphone(s).

on your amplifier.
