System settings Updating the MusicCAST client firmware At times Yamaha releases updates to the firmware in either or both the MusicCAST client and server. These updates are generally aimed at improving the experience of using your MusicCAST equipment. Follow the instructions provided with the update carefully. Do not use the update procedure unless specifically instructed to do so. The procedure for updating the firmware is as follows: ON TIMER MENU PUSH SELECT PLAY INFO. - VOL + PHONES MENU PLAY u / d SELECT OFF TIMER SLEEP ON TIMER I REPEAT 2 RANDOM 3 PAUSE 4 5 6 STOP 7 MENU PLAY S PLAY INFO. GROUP GROUP SELECT BOOK MARK INPUT RECALL VOL MUTE 1. Place the update CD in the disc tray in your MusicCAST server. 2. Update the firmware on your MusicCAST server if necessary (see page 128 of the MCX-1000 owner's manual). 3. Press and hold MENU for two seconds to return to the Top Menu screen. Top Menu Play MENU Recall Play Edit Bookmark Setup Input 4. Use u / d to move the cursor to "Setup" and press SELECT. The Setup screen appears on the display. Setup OFF Timer SELECT ON Timer Auto Play Auto Level Control Contrast 5. Use u / d to move the cursor to "System" and press SELECT. The System screen appears on the display. System Information SELECT System Update System Reset 6. Use u / d to move the cursor to "System Update" and press SELECT. The System Update prompt appears on the display. System Update Version: SELECT Date: Press PLAY to update. 7. Press PLAY to begin the update process. The following screens appear in order: System Update Receiving... System Update Data Check... Updating the MusicCAST client firmware
At times Yamaha releases updates to the firmware
in either or both the MusicCAST client and server.
These updates are generally aimed at improving the
experience of using your MusicCAST equipment.
Follow the instructions provided with the update
carefully. Do not use the update procedure unless
specifically instructed to do so.
The procedure for updating the firmware is as
follows:
1.
Place the update CD in the disc tray in
your MusicCAST server.
2.
Update the firmware on your
MusicCAST server if necessary (see
page 128 of the MCX-1000 owner

manual).
3.
Press and hold MENU for two seconds
to return to the Top Menu screen.
4.
Use

to move the cursor to

Setup
”
and press SELECT.
The Setup screen appears on the display.
5.

and press SELECT.
The System screen appears on the display.
6.
