Portable Grand 3 Turn on the Metronome. Press the [METRONOME] button. 1 To turn the Metronome off, press the [METRONOME] button again. Indicates the beat number in the tempo/measure. Setting the Metronome Time Signature The time signature of the Metronome can be set to various quarter-note based meters. • The time signature changes automatically when a style or song is selected. Hold down the [METRONOME] button (until "TIME SIG" appears in the display), then press the button on the numeric keypad that corresponds to the desired time signature (see chart at right). Number. button 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 0 Time signature 1/4 - Plays only "1" beats (all high clicks) 2/4 3/4 4/4 5/4 6/4 7/4 8/4 9/4 Plays no "1" beats (all low clicks) 4 TIME SIG Adjusting the Metronome Volume You can adjust the volume of the Metronome sound independently of the other PSR-202 sounds. The volume range is 000 - 127. 1 Select the Metronome Volume function in the Overall menu. Press the [OVERALL] button, repeatedly if necessary, until "MTR VOL" appears in the display. Current Metronome value 100 MTR VOL Indicates Metronome Volume is selected TEMPO 116 2 Change the value. Use the numeric keypad to set the desired Metronome Volume value, or use the [+]/[-] buttons to increase or decrease the value. Resetting the Metronome Volume Value To restore the default Metronome Volume value of "100," press both [+]/[-] buttons simultaneously (when Metronome Volume is selected). 21 19
