Selecting and Playing Songs A-B Repeat The convenient A-B Repeat function is an ideal aid for practicing and learning. It allows you to specify a phrase of a song (between point A and point B) and repeat it - while you play or practice along with it. 1 While playing a song, set point A (the start point). During playback, press the [A-B REPEAT] button once, at the beginning point to be repeated. • The A and B points can only be specified at the beginning of a measure (beat 1), and not at any point in the middle of a measure. • To set the A point to the beginning of a song, press the [A-B REPEAT] button before starting playback. REPEAT 006 A- 006 2 Set point B (the end point). As the song continues playing, press the [A-B REPEAT] button once again, at the ending point to be repeated. The selected phrase repeats indefinitely until stopped. REPEAT A-b 012 012 3 Pause or stop playback as needed. Use the [PAUSE] button or [START/STOP] button. Stopping playback does not cancel the set A/B points or the A-B Repeat function. • If you're repeat practicing a particularly difficult section, try slowing down the Tempo to an appropriate speed to make it easier to play and master the part. You may also want to slow down the Tempo while setting the A and B points; this makes it easier to accurately set the points. • You can also set the A-B Repeat function when the song is stopped. Simply use the [REW r] and [FF f] buttons to select the desired measures, pressing the [A-B REPEAT] button for each point, then start playback. 4 Turn off the A-B Repeat function.
