APPENDIX Troubleshooting Refer to the table below when this unit does not function properly. If the problem you are experiencing is not listed below, or if the instructions below do not help, turn off this unit, disconnect the power cable, and contact the nearest authorized Yamaha dealer or service center. General Problem The power will not turn on. The unit enters standby mode soon after the power is turned on. This unit cannot be turned off or does not work properly. The unit enters standby mode. Cause Remedy The protection circuitry operated 3 times consecutively. As a safety precaution, when the protection circuitry operates 3 times consecutively, the capability to turn on the power is disabled. Contact your nearest Yamaha dealer or service center to request repair. The power cable is not completely Connect the power cable properly to an AC inserted. wall outlet. The audio input into the device is set to playback through the TV. In the Setup menu, set the "Amp" of "Audio Output" ("HDMI" → "Audio Output" → "Amp") to "On." No appropriate input source has been selected. Select an appropriate input source with Input selector. The volume is turned down or muted. Turn up the volume. Signals that this unit cannot reproduce are being input from a source component, such as a CDROM. Use an input source that has signals that can be reproduced on this unit.
