SR 50 Notes on connection • Before making any connection, be sure to turn off the power of all the components. When making connections; make sure of the left (L) and right (R) channels. • The FRONT and REAR ACCESSORY jacks are found on some of YAMAHA's amplifiers. • For the connection of the amplifier and other components, see the instructions provided with them. (1) As shown in the figure, push up the lever above the terminal hole and insert the conductor of the speaker cord. (2) Pull down the lever. The cord will be locked securely. 0 (e 4-716- MI CONNECTING SUB SPEAKERS Connect the left sub speaker to the "L" SPEAKERS terminals and right sub speaker to the "R" SPEAKERS terminals. Be sure to match the polarity (+, -) of the speakers. * When the polarity is incorrect, there will be less bass. * Connect speakers with the specified impedance range. When connecting several speakers in parallel, be specially careful so that their combined impedance is not below the specified range. Remove the insulation of each speaker cord by about 10 mm (0.4 in). IN CONNECTING AMPLIFIER Connect correctly referring to the connection diagram. The input program source selection varies depending on the method of connection to the amplifier and on the features of the amplifier. To connect to an integrated amplifier (with ACCESSORY jacks) The ACCESSORY jacks are features provided with some of YAMAHA's amplifiers. 1. Connect the ACCESSORY SEND jacks to the INPUT jacks of the SR-50. 2. Connect the ACCESSORY RECEIVE jacks to the FRONT jacks of the SR-50. With this connection, the program source is selected by the input selector on the integrated amplifier. Connect the TAPE PB jacks of the amplifier to the FRONT jacks of the SR-50. 7
