Remote Node Profile Menu Fields for Dial-up Line Applications (continued) Field Description Session Option: Idle Timeout (sec) The Idle Timeout specifies the number of idle seconds that elapses before the remote node is automatically disconnected. The idle timer is reset whenever there is data traffic from the Prestige; however, administrative packets such as RIP are not counted as data. The default is 300 seconds (5 minutes). The idle timeout mechanism is disabled if the value is set to 0, i.e., the connection will stay up indefinitely. Once you have completed filling in Menu 11.1.1 - Remote Node Profile, press [Enter] at the message [Press ENTER to Confirm ...] to save your configuration, or press [Esc] at any time to cancel. 4-6 Chapter 4 Remote Node Configuration
