Chapter 6 Device Security Settings screen as shown next. Use this screen to configure a custom service entry not is not predefined in the device. Table 48 Device Operation > Device Configuration > Security > Firewall > Service > Add/Edit LABEL DESCRIPTION Service Name Enter a descriptive name of up to 31 printable ASCII characters (except Extended ASCII characters) for the custom service. You cannot use the left parentheses "(". Spaces are allowed. IP Protocol Choose the IP protocol (TCP, UDP, TCP/UDP, ICMP or Custom) that defines your customized service from the drop down list box. Port Range If you select Custom, specify the protocol's number. For example, ICMP is 1, TCP is 6, UDP is 17 and so on. This field is available only when you select TCP/UDP, TCP, or UDP in the IP Protocol field. Enter the port number (from 1 to 255) that defines the customized service To specify one port only, enter the port number in the From field and enter it again in the To field. Type/Code To specify a span of ports, enter the first port in the From field and enter the last port in the To field. This field is available only when you select ICMP in the IP Protocol field. The ICMP messages are identified by their types and in some cases codes. Custom Protocol Enter the type number in the Type field and select the Code radio button and enter the code number if any. This field is available only when you select Custom in the IP Protocol field. Apply Cancel Specify the protocol's number. For example, ICMP is 1, TCP is 6, UDP is 17 and so on.
