i There is an a r bag readiness i light on the instrument panel, which shows AIR BAG. Air bags inflate wnn great force, fasterthan me blink of an eye. If you're tooclose to an inflating air bag, it could seriously injure you. Safety belts help keepyou in position before and duringa crash. Always wear your safety belt, even with air bags. The driver should sit far back as possible as while still maintaining controlof the vehicle. The system checks the air bag electrical system for you malfunctions. The light tells if there is an electrical problem. See "Air Bag Readiness Light" in the Index for more information. An inflating air bag can seriously injure small children.
