10-80 Vehicle Care { Warning Batteries can hurt you. They can be dangerous because: . The vehicle has a battery cover which must be removed to gain access to the battery for jump starting. 3. Reverse Steps 1-2 to reinstall the battery cover. They contain acid that can burn you. They contain gas that can explode or ignite. They contain enough electricity to burn you. . . If you do not follow these steps exactly, some or all of these things can hurt you. The vehicle has a remote positive (+) terminal under a trim cover. It is under the battery cover on the driver side of the engine compartment. See Engine Compartment Overview on page 10-6. You should always use this remote positive terminal.
