Rear Door Security Lock Your Cadillac is equipped with rear door security locks that help prevent passengers fromopening the rear doors of your car from the inside. When you want toopen a rear door when the security lock ison: 1. Unlock the door from the inside. 2. Then open the door from the outside. I 1. Move the leveron the door all the wayupto the ENGAGEDposition. To cancel therear door lock: 1. Unlock the door from the inside ana open the door from theoutside. 2. Move the lever all the way down. 3. Do the same for the other rear door. The rear door locks will now work normally. Leaving Your Vehicle If you are leaving the vehicle, take your keys, open your door and set the locks from inside. Then get outand close thedoor. 2. Close the door. 3. Do the same thing to the other rear door lock. If your vehicle has a theft-deterrent system, see "Theft-Deterrent" in the Index.
