When the button is pressed and the door is open, a beep will sound and the light will flash continuously. Programmable Automatic Door Locks Your vehicle is programmed so that, when the doors are closed, the ignition is on and the shift lever is moved out of PARK (P), all the doors will lock. The doors will unlock every time you stop the vehicle and move the shift lever into PARK (P). K (Unlock): the doors. Press this portion of the button to unlock Q (Lock): the doors. Press this portion of the button to lock If someone needs to get out while your vehicle is not in PARK (P), have the person use the power door lock switch. With the vehicle in PARK (P) and the engine running, the door locks can be programmed through prompts displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC). These prompts allow the driver to choose various lock and unlock settings. For programming information, see DIC Vehicle Personalization on page 3-68. There is an indicator light on the rear of the door near the window. When the lock portion of the button is pressed and the door is closed, a beep will sound and the light will come on for a few seconds, then turn off. If the button is pressed and the door is open, a beep will sound and the light will stay on continuously. 2-10
