At times you may notice a decrease in range. This is normal for any remote keyless entry system. If the transmitter does not work or if you have to stand closer to your vehicle for the transmitter to work, try this: Operation The following functions are available with the remote keyless entry system: LOCK: All doors will automatically lock when the LOCK button is pressed. In addition, if all doors and the trunk are closed, the headlamps will flash once, the interior lamps will turn off, and the vehicle anti-theft system will arm. If you press the LOCK button again within five seconds, the horn will chirp to let you know that the system is armed. The THEFT SYSTEM light will flash on the instrument panel to let you know the system is armed. If a door or the trunk is open when you press the LOCK button, the doors will lock, but the security system will not arm until all the doors and the trunk are closed. Your dealer can change the settings to disable the headlamp flash feature and horn chirp.
