California requirements for emissions warranties QUICK REFERENCE: EMISSIONS WARRANTY COVERAGE This chart shows the coverage Ford Motor Company provides under the emissions control warranty to owners of vehicles certified for sale in California, (your Vehicle Emissions Control Information label will indicate certified for sale in California or conforms to California regulations) and registered in California, Maine, Massachusetts, New York or Vermont. Also, diesel engine vehicles over 14,000 pounds (GVWR) registered in Maine, Massachusetts, or Pennsylvania qualify for California emissions warranty coverage. This coverage is in addition to Federal Emission warranties (Page 16). There are six warranties: • Short-Term Defects Warranty (vehicles of 14,000 lbs.* and under) (Non-PZEV certified vehicles) • Long-Term Defects Warranty (vehicles of 14,000 lbs.* and under) (Non-PZEV certified vehicles) • Defects Warranty (vehicles over 14,000 lbs.*) (Non-PZEV certified vehicles) • Performance Warranty (vehicles of 14,000 lbs.* and under) (Non-PZEV certified vehicles) • Defects and Performance Warranty (PZEV certified vehicles) 22

This chart shows the coverage Ford Motor Company provides under the
emissions control warranty to owners of vehicles certified for sale in Cali-
fornia, (your Vehicle Emissions Control Information label will indicate
certified for sale in California or conforms to California regulations)
and
registered in California, Maine, Massachusetts, New York or Vermont.
Also, diesel engine vehicles over 14,000 pounds (GVWR) registered in
Maine, Massachusetts, or Pennsylvania qualify for California emissions
