If the message center displays 1-> 4 SHIFT, shift the transmission directly from 1 (First) to 4 (Fourth), otherwise you can shift normally. Refer to Message center in the Instrument Cluster chapter. Reverse 1. Make sure that your vehicle is at a complete stop before you shift into R (Reverse). Failure to do so may damage the transmission. 2. Press the clutch pedal to the floor to disengage clutch. 3.
