Tire Chains NOTICE: (Continued) If you do find traction devices that will fit, install them on the rear tires. If you have othersize tires, use tire chains only where legal and only when you must. Use only SAE Class "S" type chainsthat are the proper size for yourtires. Install them on the rear axle as tires and tighten them tightly aspossible with the endssecurely fastened. Drive slowly and If follow the chain manufacturer's instructions. you can hear the chains contacting your vehicle, stop and retighten them. If the contact continues, slow down until it stops. Driving too fast or spinning thewheels with chains onwill damage your vehicle. NOTICE: If your vehicle has P235/65R15size tires, don't use tire chains. They can damageyour vehicle because there's not enough clearance. Use another typeof traction device only if its manufacturer recommendsit for use on your vehicle and tiresize combination and road conditions. Follow that manufacturer's instructions. To help avoiddamage to your vehicle, drive slowly, readjust orremove the device if it's contacting yourvehicle, and don't spin yourwheels. NOTICE: (Continued) 6-50
