Turn Signal/Multifunction Lever Turn and Lane-Change Signals The turn signal has two upward (for right) and two downward (for left) positions. These positions allow you to signal a turn or a lane change. To signal a turn, move the lever all the way up or down. When the turn is finished, the lever will return automatically. An arrow on the instrument panel cluster will flash in the direction of the turn or lane change. The lever on the left side of the steering column includes the following: • G Turn and Lane Change Signals. See Turn and Lane-Change Signals on page 3-8. • 3Headlamp High/Low-Beam Changer. See Headlamp High/Low-Beam Changer on page 3-9. • Flash-to-Pass. See Flash-to-Pass on page 3-9. • N Windshield Wipers. See Windshield Wipers on page 3-9. To signal a lane change, raise or lower the lever until the arrow starts to flash. Hold it there until you complete your lane change. The lever will return by itself when you release it. If you momentarily press and release the lever, the turn signal will flash three times. If the arrow flashes faster than normal as you signal a turn or a lane change, a signal bulb may be burned out and other drivers will not see your turn signal. • L Windshield Washer. See Windshield Washer on page 3-10. For information on the headlamps, see Exterior Lamps on page 3-14. 3-8
