Transmission Fluid Automatic Transmission 4-cylinder models Check the fluid level with the engine at normal operating temperature. 4-cylinder models 1. Park the vehicle on level ground. Start the engine until the radiator fan comes on and rotate it once. Turn off the engine. For accurate results, wait at least 60 seconds, and no more than 90 seconds, after turning off the engine to check the fluid level. DIPSTICK UPPER MARK LOWER MARK 2.
